LEFFERS, Andrew “Andy”

ANDREW “ANDY” LEFFERS 1945 ~ 2026 Andrew Ralph Leffers, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and Opa, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at the age of 81 years.
Andy was born on January 17, 1945, in Vroomshoop, the Netherlands, to Hiske and Sjoerdtje Leffers. The youngest of eight children, he was raised in a close-knit family before beginning a life that would be defined by faith, hard work, and devotion to those he loved.
He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 58 years, Helen Leffers (née DeHaas), and by their five children: Angela (Peter) Hulst, Denise (Bryan) Meyer, Dwayne (Trixie) Leffers, Ken (Shelley) Leffers, and Melanie (Peter) Harthoorn.
Andy was a proud and loving Opa to 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy. He is also lovingly remembered by his only remaining sibling Maggie Hofsink, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at the COALDALE CEMETERY, Coaldale, AB.
A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at the COALDALE CANADIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 2705 21st Ave, Coaldale, AB.
