FEHER It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, JENNY ELONOR FEHER at the St. Michael’s Palliative Care Centre on Sunday, August 9, 2026 at the age of 90 years.
Jenny is lovingly remembered by her children Bill (Durena) Feher of Calgary and their children Maygen, Lindsey and Douglas (Kristen); Lawrence (Anna) Feher of Calgary; and Romina (Rex) Senneker of Lethbridge and their children Alex (Alexa), Ryan (Liz). She was also blessed with ten beautiful great-grandchildren, all of whom she absolutely adored.
Jenny is also survived by her brother Steve Prokop, sister-in-law Lydia Prokop both of Lethbridge, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband William “Bill” Feher; her brother Mike Prokop; sister-in-law Evelyn Prokop; and nephew Bob Prokop.
Jenny’s life was defined by her faith, generosity, and commitment to serving others. She was a dedicated member of the Catholic Women’s League for 63 years, serving in a variety of roles supporting countless parish activities, including funeral lunches, special parish events, youth programs, and retreats. She also found great joy in singing with the St. Basil’s Church Choir, sharing her gift of music during Sunday Mass and special celebrations.
Mom remained active throughout her life and was always involved in her children’s activities. One of her favourite memories was her time as a Cub leader, where she helped create a fun and welcoming place for busy boys, whether in the school gym or while camping at Camp Impeesa. She later joined Girl Guides alongside her daughter and enjoyed many adventures, including snowshoeing and winter and summer camping at Beaver Mines and Camp Okeekum. Being involved in the lives of her children brought her tremendous joy, and she embraced every opportunity to learn, participate and create lasting memories with them. Mom knew how to enjoy life to stay young at heart. She loved gardening and took great pride in caring for her flowers especially her cherished roses. Whether golfing with the Sunshine Ladies League at Indian Hills during the summer months or bowling in the ladies’ league during the winter. She always looked forward to connecting with friends, laughing and joking as only mom could.
Mom also enjoyed travelling and encouraged her family to take time to explore and experience the world. She often spoke about how much she enjoyed her career in the financial industry beginning with the Credit Bureau, before moving on to St. Patrick’s Credit Union, now known as 1st Choice Savings.
Above all, Mom treasured her family. She took great pride in the accomplishments of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and delighted in every opportunity to spend time with them. Our lives have been forever shaped by her love, wisdom and example.
The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Heart Function Clinic, the Home Care North Side Team, Chinook Regional Hospital nurses, physicians, health care aides and rehabilitation staff on GARU, the staff of 3B Medicine and the dedicated team at St. Michael’s Palliative Care Centre for the compassionate care, kindness, and support they provided to mom during her final months.
A Memorial Mass with be held at ST. BASIL’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 601 – 13 Street North, Lethbridge, AB on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. with Father Kevin Tumback celebrating.
The Mass will be live-streamed and may be viewed through Jenny’s obituary on the Cornerstone website.
