NORMA SCHELL

NORMA SCHELL 1946 ~ 2026 Norma Hilda Schell, beloved wife of Adam Schell of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the age of 80 years. Norma was born the eleventh child in a family of fifteen, to David and Hilda Reimer of the Leinan District, north of Swift Current, SK. Norma was raised on the family farm and attended school in Leinan and Stewart Valley before training to be a hairdresser in Regina. Returning to Swift Current, she met Adam Schell and they married in 1966. A dedicated homemaker, she and Adam settled on an acreage north of Swift Current to raise their family. Norma later returned to work outside the home, working for Woolworth, Woolco and Wal-Mart for 25 years before retiring and moving to Medicine Hat, AB in 2005. Norma leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 60 years, Adam; her children, Rhonda (Jason) Baker, Roberta Schell, Mark (Alexandra) Schell, and her granddaughter, Brooklyn Baker. She was predeceased by her parents, David and Hilda Reimer and her siblings, Melvin, Ronald, Harold, Allan, Anne, Audrey and Eleanor. A private family interment will be held in the Hillside Cemetery.
