NEVILLE, Sharon
Posted: August 15th, 2026 NEVILLE July 27, 1941 – July 22, 2026 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of SHARON MARY FRANCIS NEVILLE (née Coe), of Lethbridge, Alberta. After a brief and unexpected illness, Sharon passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, just one week shy of her 85th birthday.
Sharon was predeceased by her beloved husband, Allan Neville, in 2016. She is survived by her sons Scot (Marcie) and Lee (Rochelle), and step-daughter Gayle. She was a cherished Gramma and Nana to Simon, Emily, Samuel, Chloe, Sophie, Loni, and Lacy, and was blessed with many great‑grandchildren.
Sharon was proud of the life she built. In the 1960s, she worked for Alberta Government Telephones in Drumheller, and later managed Salvation Army thrift stores in southern Alberta. She took great joy in mentoring the people she worked with and believed deeply in treating everyone with dignity, respect, and fairness.
She looked back on her childhood with fondness and humour, often sharing stories of riding her horse to school at the age of six – when the older children had to help her climb on – and of the mischief she and her siblings got into, including the time they painted the family pig red.
Sharon was a collector throughout her life, beginning with miniature kerosene lamps in her youth and continuing with glass paperweights and teacups in her retirement. She was endlessly curious about people and formed lasting connections wherever life took her.
Her faith was an important part of her life, and she loved her church and the people in it.
Above all, Sharon had a genuine optimism and a wonderful ability to find joy in the people and experiences around her. She leaves behind a lifetime of stories and memories and will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff at the Chinook Regional Hospital for the care and kindness Sharon received.
