JOHNSON It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mom ROSE JOHNSON on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at the age of 91.
Rose enjoyed 40 years at Woolworths and showed up every day with a big smile to serve a piece of Woolworths famous cheesecake to all her regular customers. Rose spent many years volunteering with the church and endless hours in her garden. It gave her great pleasure to share all her vegetables with her friends and neighbours.
Rose is survived by her four daughters Sherry (Don) Chirka, Roxanne (Rod) Rosenau, Jacky (Alan) Patterson, Jody (Doug) Pedersen. Rose also leaves behind eight grandchildren Zac, Sascha, Brittany, Taylor, Justin, Samantha, McKenzie, and Hunter; along with five great-grandchildren Ava, Miya, Duke, Wyatt, and Clover.
Rose was predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years, William Alfred Johnson; her parents Frank and Eleanor Herba; and siblings Stan, Nellie, Walter, Henry, and Adolph.
The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Blue Sky Lodge, Lindenview Lodge in Taber, and a special thank you to the third floor staff at Legacy Lodge where she resided until her passing.
A Graveside Service will be held at ST. PATRICK’S CEMETERY, 525 – 6 Ave North, Lethbridge, AB on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 1:30 P.M. with a Luncheon to follow at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB.
Mom, your strength, determination, and love will carry on in those whose lives you touched.
