DONNA GOULD May 3, 1939 ~ August 17, 2026
Mrs. Donna Arlene Gould, beloved wife of the late Mr. Robert (Ben) Gould, passed away in Medicine Hat on Monday, August 17, 2026, at the age of 87 years.
Donna was born on May 3, 1939, in Dodsland, Saskatchewan, and was raised in Ruthilda where she began a life that would take her to many different places. On July 2, 1960, she married Robert Gould in Ruthilda, beginning a loving marriage and a family life filled with many years of memories. Donna lived in many places including Saskatoon, Sonningdale, Rosetown, Battleford, Mervin and finally back to Saskatoon before planting roots in Medicine Hat.
Donna had a varied and interesting career. With her husband, she was an owner and operator of several hotels and bars in several Saskatchewan communities before entering a career as an X-ray and lab technician for many years.
Outside of work, Donna had plenty of interests to keep her busy. She enjoyed puzzling, sewing, quilting and curling, and was a devoted Toronto Blue Jays fan.
Some of Donna’s happiest memories were made with family and friends. She had many memorable weekends spent entertaining at their cabin in Cochin and enjoyed trips to Disney World with her grandsons as well as watching her grandboys in their many sports activities and musical concerts.
Donna will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Nancy Russell; son-in-law, Kevin Russell; grandsons, Jeffrey Russell of Climax, Saskatchewan and Blair Russell of North Vancouver, British Columbia. She is also survived by her brother, Gerald (Hazel) McLeod of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; nephew Scott (Rachel) McLeod of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and niece Kelly Earl of London, Ontario.
Donna is predeceased by her husband, Robert (Ben) Gould (1998); her brother, Keith James McLeod (1986); father, Duncan Roderick McLeod (1968); as well as her mother, Gladys Evelyn Ferguson (1990).
