TERRESSA KIM GALENZOSKI 1967 ~ 2026 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Terressa Kim Galenzoski, on Sunday, August 16, 2026, in Coaldale, Alberta, at the age of 59 years.
Terressa was born Tiara Maeleen in Calgary, Alberta, on March 15, 1967. She was later adopted and was given the name Terressa Kim.
Terressa was a passionate woman, she felt deeply, and experienced life with intensity. She lived a life marked by both challenges and a deep desire to understand who she was and where she came from. Her story was complicated, as all lives are, and she carried experiences that shaped the woman she became.
In 2020, Terressa found her birth family. Finding them answered a question that had lived with her for much of her life, the question of where she came from and where her roots began. Through discovering her birth heritage, Terressa became a member of Muscowpetung Saulteaux Nation. This connection to her First Nation and her cultural roots were an important part of her understanding of herself and her place in the world. The land of this nation is where she chooses to be buried.
Terressa is predeceased by her father, Lloyd, and will be remembered by her mother, Nora (Friesen/Baloi) Galenzoski; her siblings, Jeff (Maria Taruc); James (Connie Lybbert); Malcolm (Mist-Tee Sawers Laliberte); and Tricia (Kevin McMann); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Terressa is also predeceased by her birth mother and survived by members of her birth family, whose names and relationships are withheld out of respect for their family.
She leaves behind memories that will be held by those whose lives she touched, and a story that reminds us that every person’s journey is uniquely their own.
May Terressa find the peace and belonging she searched for throughout her life.
She will be remembered.

A Celebration of Terressa’s Life will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at LETHBRIDGE MULTICULTURAL CENTRE, BALLROOM, 421 – 6 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta.
