George Palmer
1942 – 2026
George Edwin Palmer, beloved husband of Dorothy Palmer of Vauxhall, passed away in Taber, surrounded by his family on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at the age of 84 years.
George and Dorothy were married for sixty one years. They were blessed with four sons, Ed, Jim, Ron and Fred.
George worked for Alberta Dehydrating for forty years. After retiring, he enjoyed auction sales and cleaning up old farm yards where he found many treasures and made many friends.
Besides his loving wife Dorothy, George is survived by thier sons Jim (Michele) Palmer of Calgary and Ron (Rhonda) Palmer of High River; grandchildren Novak, Kort, Saville, Reid, Riley and Victoria; great grandchildren Myla, Aubrey, Rowan, Ramona and Archer. He is also survived by his brothers Percy and Gough and by numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sons Fred and Ed; his parents Kathleen and Dave Palmer; his brother Lloyd Palmer and by Dorothy’s parents, Philip and Irene Feist.
A burial service will be held at the Taber Memorial Garden on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 1:00 P.M.
