DARLENE WATERHOUSE 1950 ~ 2026 We are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Darlene Lillian Waterhouse after a brief illness, with her sister Judy by her side.
Darlene was born to Jack and Ileen Waterhouse on March 28, 1950, in Lethbridge, Alberta. She was their third born of 4 girls, and what a group of girls they were! They were very close and shared so many parts of their lives together. And the laughs… every time the girls were together, the room dissolved into laughter. Growing up included many trips to Excel and Cereal to visit their grandparents and extended family. So many memories were made on the farm and in the family store over the years. During her teen years she was a Past Honored Queen of Job’s Daughters. Most of her life she lived in Lethbridge. Darlene was a gentle, soft-spoken woman who enjoyed reading, puzzles and time with family. And she was a very good hugger.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sister Judy Ann Waterhouse, her 5 nieces and nephews; 8 great nieces and nephews and 1 great-great niece, plus many dear cousins. She was pre-deceased by her parents, her sisters Victoria “Vickie” Burns and Jacqueline “Jackie” Snider and her nephew Donovan Snider.
Darlene will be privately remembered by her family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations are made in her memory to a Humane Society near you.
