Posted: October 17th, 2026 GLEN PRESLEY 1951 ~ 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Glen Ernest Presley of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of the late Carolyn Presley, who passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at the age of 75 years. Glen was born on April 3, 1951, in Winnipeg, MB, to Adam and Edna Presley. He spent his early years in Banff, AB and Maple Creek, SK, where he developed many of the interests that would remain with him throughout his life. He enjoyed playing football, hunting, and working on cars, and he graduated from high school in Maple Creek, SK in 1969. Following graduation, Glen moved to Medicine Hat, where he began his training to become a Chartered Accountant. He went on to build a long and respected career serving the Medicine Hat community as an accountant with Johnson Morrison Hunter and Co. His commitment to his community extended well beyond his professional life. Glen was actively involved with numerous organizations over the years, including Rotary, the Train Club, the MHHS Football Parents Group, and many other community initiatives. Glen had a passion for collecting and was particularly fond of model trains and vintage Firebirds. These interests reflected his appreciation for craftsmanship, history, and the stories behind the things he loved. He could often be found talking about trains, cars, football, or one of the many projects that captured his attention. Above all, Glen was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He leaves to cherish his memory his two children, Darren Presley and DeeAnna (Michael Roberts) Presley-Roberts; his five grandchildren, Olivia, Charlotte, Rosalie, Owen, and Colt; his brother, Don Presley; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in law, nieces, nephews and dear friends. He will be remembered and deeply missed by his family and the many friends and members of the community whose lives he touched. Glen was predeceased by his beloved wife, Carolyn Presley; his parents, Adam and Edna Presley; and his sister-in-law, Diane Presley. A Come and Go Celebration of Life will be held in honour of Glen and Carolyn at MEDALTA IN THE HISTORIC CLAY DISTRICT on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to join together to share memories, stories, and celebrate the lives of Glen and Carolyn.
