  1. Alexandra Congram says:

I am very sorry to hear of Les’s passing. I was the receptionist at Entre-Corp in 2005-06. He was one of the best bosses I’ve had. He treated everyone with fairness and respect.

People often treat administrative staff poorly. We are often considered “Low man on the totem pole” but not with Les at the Helm. I will never forget the time he gave me the day off and took me to a golf tournament in Brooks. Les could have picked Greg, Micky, Sean or Chris but he chose me and said I was doing a great job and wanted to reward me. It meant a lot to me. More than I think he knew.

My condolences to Paulette and family. Les will be missed.

  2. Larry Pederson says:

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Les’s passing.

He was a great boss and colleague when I worked for him at Entre-Corp, and I’m sure that all who ever worked with him or had business dealings with him would agree.

Les was the first person I ever talked to about Litebook, back in 1999, and I always credit him with being the one who suggested the crazy idea of making them right in Medicine Hat. If it hadn’t been for Les, I doubt very much that Litebook would have ever been more than a bright idea in my head.

I really always enjoyed my time with Les; he had a great sense of humor and a hearty laugh that was infectious.

His loss is tragic, especially at his age. He will truly be missed.

My heart goes out his family and friends at this difficult time.

  3. Mike Christie says:

Terrible news to hear about the passing of Les Erickson. He was a Board member of the Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta for four years and filled the leadership roles of both Secretary and Chair.

We had a great relationship and became friends. His contribution to the Community Foundation was second to known. Always encouraging, motivating – very much the glass is half full kind of guy.

We were both in Rotary albeit in different clubs in Medicine Hat. He was also one of the founding members of an investment club and he encouraged me to join. We had lots of enjoyable evenings sharing a beer or two and trying to work out what the stock market was going to do.

What a tragic loss for someone so young and who had so much to contribute. Prayers and thoughts are with Paulette and the family.
