TOPPING Gail

After a long battle with cancer Gail Topping died on September 10, 2012. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Réal Topping in January 2009.
Gail was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Rolande Giguere on July 7, 1938. She was raised and cared for by her grandmother, Alma Giguere Goeujon. Gail completed her Commerce schooling in Vancouver, BC.
She met Réal Topping in Vancouver and they married in 1958. They lived in Victoria and moved to Quebec City and Montreal before returning west to make Lethbridge their final home. Her life-long career as administrative assistant to senior executives enabled her to work at varied and interesting companies wherever she lived. In Lethbridge she worked for Time Air, Canadian Regional Airlines and retired from Air Canada Jazz in Calgary.
She is survived by 3 half-brothers and 3 half-sisters: On her mother’s side: Clem (Anne) LeFranc of Nelson, BC, Beatrice (Gus) Stuyt of Pender Island, BC, and Lorette Scott of Abbotsford, BC. Margaret LeFranc Gibson died in December 2008. On her father’s side: Leo (Lillian) Mouillierat of Kelowna, BC, Louis (Jeannie) Mouillierat of Winnipeg, and Juliette (Greg) Schmidt of Winnipeg.
She also leaves Réal’s brothers and sisters: Rosanne, Laurance, Aline, George, Gilbert, Roger and Claude.
She was a member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals, and the Association of Administrative Assistants. She was a member of the Assumption CWL.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405 – 12 Ave South, Lethbridge with Father Kevin Tumback celebrant.
