LINDSTEDT Marlene

It is with great sadness we announce the untimely passing of Marlene Gail Lindstedt, wife of Mark Lindstedt of Lomond, Alberta on September 23, 2012. Marlene was born September 12, 1956 in Lethbridge and grew up in Enchant until moving to the farm in Lomond where she raised her family. Marlene loved life. She enjoyed hosting and attending family gatherings. In the last two years her family expanded with three of her sons getting married and two new granddaughters with another grandchild on the way. Her favourite hobby was being outdoors and took great pride in making her yard as beautiful as it is today. Marlene also had a greenhouse which supplied the surrounding community with ample flowers for many years. One of her great passions was golfing, as a member of the Enchant Golf Club as well as trying new courses along their travels. Many winters were spent skiing in Fernie and traveling to warm destinations. In the past few years winters were spent in Arizona enjoying the warm weather, golf and meeting new people. Music was a large part of her life with many sing-alongs, karaoke, and live concerts. We will remember Marlene for her love of life and her beautiful smile. Marlene was predeceased by her father, Arthur Egeland. Left to celebrate her memory are her mother Kathy Egeland, sons: Kolin, Jill and granddaughter Koral; Dave Lee; Kevin, Naomi; Jamie, Stephanie and granddaughter Elizabeth, sister Brenda (Clarence), brothers: Brian (Peggy), Randall (Tanya), Galvin (Christine) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held on Friday, September 28 at 2:00 PM from the Lomond Multi Purpose Facility, Lomond, Alberta. Pastor Jeff Frostad officiated. Interment followed at Lomond Cemetery.
