1978 – 2012
Eric Garth Nordquist, beloved son of Neil and Reneé Nordquist, passed away
in Leduc on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the age of 34 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland
Funeral Chapel, 5006 – 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, November 1, 2012
between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. and at the church prior to the funeral
service on Friday, November 2, 2012 between 10:00 A.M. and 10:40 A.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Centre, 4709 – 50 Avenue, Taber on Friday,
November 2, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. with Elder Merrill Harris conducting. Burial
to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden. Condolences may be forwarded by

Eric will be dearly missed by his parents Neil and Reneé Nordquist of
Minot, North Dakota and by his siblings Jerusha (Chris) Schiessl of Minot,
North Dakota; Thomas (Theresa) Nordquist of Gurnee, Illinois; Jonathan
(Amanda) Nordquist of Lehi, Utah; Carlie (Robby) Evans of Mapleton, Utah;
Michael (Carolyn) Nordquist of Minot, North Dakota; Layne (Emma) Nordquist
of Provo, Utah; William Nordquist of Provo, Utah. He is also survived by his
grandparents Garth and Betty Harris of Taber and by numerous nieces,
nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Arvid and Myrtle Nordquist;
uncles Derrick Harris, Jim Raymer and Allan Bodnar; two cousins Jason Harris
and Devin Harris.
Eric was born in Taber October 16, 1978. His early school years were spent
in Viking before finishing school in Magrath. Following graduation Eric
spent two years attending Minot State University before working in seismic,
roofing, garage door installation and most recently for FT Services where he
was a warehouse foreman, training for his journeyman’s certificate. He had a
strong work ethic and gave himself completely to anything he did.
Eric enjoyed adventure, doing such things as skydiving, bungee jumping and
most recently quadding. He liked athletics, playing basketball in high
school and men’s leagues in Regina and Minot. He also participated in both
volleyball and golf. He enjoyed traveling to warm destinations including
Cuba and the Dominican Republic.
Eric loved people and he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will
be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

charity of one’s personal choice.
