WALTERS Ann

Posted: November 7th, 2012

ANN JANE WALTERS passed away peacefully in Lethbridge Alberta on November 4th, 2012. She came into this world as Annie Joseph Semenoff in Grand Forks B.C. on November 20th, 1926, basking in the pride of her parents Helen and Joe. She is off to rejoin them, her loving husband Jack, daughter Dora and son Jimmy. Ann is survived by her daughters Carol Fitzpatrick (Keith), Peggy Walters (Michael); sons Ed Walters (Myrna), Craig Walters (Susan); many grand/great grandchildren; her sister Mary Becker (Art); brother Alex Semenoff (Ann) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Ann was unique, dedicated, loyal, energetic and a true friend to everyone who was lucky enough to cross her path. Ann could sing like Jeanette McDonald, dance like Ginger Rogers, play the piano, guitar and let music fill the air and hearts of her many friends and family members. She loved playing cards; bridge and cribbage to name a few. She was a farm wife, an amazing mother and grandmother. She appreciated the simplicity of life and was one who people would seek, just to share her wisdom and advice. Ann had a brilliant mind, she knew the dictionary inside and out, excelled at scrabble and could complete the morning paper’s crossword puzzle in 10 minutes. She knew two words of the English language (yes and no) when she started grade one, made it to grade two and was advanced/skipped to grade four. Ann will be missed. She will forever ride in our hearts and remain an inspiration to all of us. Good-bye for now, sweet Annie!
