SUSAN (PETERSON) ROMERIL, of Stirling, passed away peacefully November 19, 2012 at the age of 59, surrounded by her family at the Chinook Regional Hospital.
Susan will be greatly missed by her loving and devoted husband, Fred Romeril. She is survived by her mother, Lois Peterson, and by her seven children: Chad (Allison) Romeril, Jana (Chuck) Perry, Dallas (Lindsay) Romeril, Aliesha (Ken) Gurney, Justin (Becky) Romeril, Whitney (Trevor) Thomas, Jon (Lexie) Romeril and 22 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her father, Clifford Peterson.
Susan was born on March 8, 1953 in Lethbridge, Alberta. She is the sister to Cheri Jenson, Rod Peterson, Barbara Johnson, Jeffrey Peterson, and Marilyn Smith. She was raised in Lethbridge, attended LCI and later went on to attend BYU. On January 18, 1975, Susan and Fred married in the Cardston, Alberta Temple.
Susan enjoyed singing with her sisters, quilting, and making chocolates each Christmas. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Susan spent the last 25 years as the secretary at the Stirling School, beloved by students and staff. She recently served as a church service missionary along with her husband for LDS Family Services.
Susan showed kindness and compassion to all around her. She loved her family, and their happiness was always her first priority. Her life and example have blessed all who knew her. Our loss is heaven’s gain.
Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, November 22, 2012 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, STIRLING CHAPEL, Stirling, Alberta and prior to the funeral service at the church on Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS – STIRLING CHAPEL. Interment to follow in the Stirling Cemetery.

Uncle Fred and Family,
It’s hard to understand why some of the most beautiful people are taken first. May a life time of memories ease the pain and sadness you feel. I’m sure the strength of our faith and the love of our families will help carry you all though. I wish I could be there with you. Our loss truly is heaven’s gain.
