COX Viola

On Tuesday, December 4, 2012 Viola Cox (nee Quinton) passed peacefully at the Fort Macleod Community Care Facility.
Viola is predeceased by her husband William (Bill) Cox in 1984 and she is survived by her children Dennis (Faye Morden) Cox, Corine (Reno) Welsch and Rita (Mark) DeCew, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Vi was born and raised in the Glenwood area and attended Normal School in Calgary to become a teacher. Her first teaching position was in the Spring Point area west of Fort Macleod. On December 30, 1940 she married Bill and they ranched in the Spring Point district until Bill retired. They were part of a vibrant community and had many good friends. She enjoyed being part of many organizations, playing cards, traveling, and enjoying time with family and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Monday, December 10th, 2012 at EDEN’S FUNERAL HOME, 2424 5th Ave, Fort Macleod, AB. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery.
