VISSER Gertrude
Posted: February 8th, 2013Gertrude, beloved mother, oma and great oma went peacefully home to be with her Lord on February 3 2013. Gertrude married Arie in 1962 and became an instant mother of 5 rowdy sons and one daughter. She immigrated with her new family in 1962. She mastered motherhood, a new language and a new culture all in a short time and did a wonderful job. She is survived by Mel (Phyllis), Betty (daughter in law) Christine (Ian), Henry (Grace), John (Deb), Arie, 21 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren, two sisters, Piety & Bietie and one brother, Aries, in Holland. She was predeceased by her husband Arie, son Adrian, grandsons, Jason and Allen, and daughter in law Barb.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at the TRINITY REFORMED CHURCH, 1100 – 40 Avenue North, Lethbridge on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 2:00 P.M., with Rev. Wybren Oord officiating. Private interment will be held.
