ALLEN Elda

MRS. ELDA RAE ALLEN, beloved wife of the late Robert Bruce Allen, of Taber, AB., passed away at the Taber Health Centre on February 21, 2013 at the age of 75 years.
She is the loving mother of Ken (Dianne) Allen of Estevan, SK., and Rocky Allen of Taber, AB. She was a caring grandmother to Joey (Kathy), Kristine (James) and Lisa Rae (Ryan). Elda was a very proud great grandmother to Isabella.
She is survived by her sister Lorraine (Lawrence) and brother George (Winnie) of Prince Albert, SK.
Elda was predeceased by both parents; Leona Mae and Eldin Rae Lidkea and stepfather Ted Carnrike. Two sisters Charlotte Mae, Evelyn Faye, and 2 step sisters Virginia and Jackie.
Elda was born in Tuberose, SK., on May 25, 1937 to Leona & Eldin Lidkea.
She married Bruce Allen on November 4, 1954 in Swift Current, SK. She followed her husband all over Saskatchewan and Alberta working in the oil patch. She loved cooking and was a commercial chef for quite some time. They moved to British Columbia for a while before settling down in Taber and Lethbridge. She loved doing whatever Bruce loved, including fishing, flying airplanes and a passion for gardening.
A memorial service will be held at the LETHBRIDGE SENIOR CITIZEN’S ORGANIZATION, 500 – 11 Street South Lethbridge, AB., on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 1:00 P.M.
