It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing away of our dear husband, son, father, and grandfather. Henk Van der Veen of Picture Butte was born September 29, 1958 and passed away on March 19, 2013 at the age of 54 years after a battle with cancer.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife Jannie, his mother Grie Van der Veen of the Netherlands, and his 9 children Henk and Wilma, Linnea and Leland Rozeboom, Richard and Corinna, Gineva and Jan Van Huigenbos, Steven and Gretta, Eddie and Lisa, Paulina and Ryan den Bok, Tom, Madeline and fiancé Harold Fluit. He also leaves to mourn his 20 grandchildren whom he loved dearly. His brothers and sisters Klaas and Annie, Ray and Siep, George and Bernita, Grada and Jan Van Damme, Alice and Renger Bos and Koen and Hennie Pit. His inlaws; Peter and Jane Klok, Corrie and Jan Liefting, Gerrit and Helen Klok, Henk and Agatha Klok, Janet and Chris deLeeuw and Gerard and Hennie Klok.
Henk was predeceased by his 5 year old son, Johnny, his father Henk Van der Veen, sister Ida Pit and his parents-in-law Henk and Corrie Klok.
Condolences will be held at 7:30pm – 9:00pm on Friday, March 22, 2013 at the NETHERLANDS REFORMED CONGREGATION | 603 – 3a Street South, Picture Butte.
The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the NETHERLANDS REFORMED CONGREGATION, with Reverend Bazen officiating. Interment will follow at the Picture Butte Memorial Cemetery.
