HENDRIKS Jean

FIJCHINA “JEAN” HENDRIKS, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother was called home on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the age of 77 years.
She is lovingly remembered by her family; Gerald (Mary) Vincent, Simon (Tracy) Maxwell, Hannah (Herman), Marge (Tom) Manley, Samantha (Chris), Annette (Rob) Vandermolen, Chad, Tyler, Amanda (Danilo) Emma and Zachary, Liz (Dave) Bakker, Jocelyn (Britton), Kaitlyn, Ed (Sue) Brandon, Mia, Loretta (Don) Schlichter, Mason, Justine, Savannah, Bronson.
She is also survived by a sister Femmie Slagter, a brother Harm (Henny) and sister in law Teuny Veldman, as well as numerous nephews and neices.
She was predeceased by her husband Berend on July 12, 1990, an infant daughter Veronica in 1973, her parents Egbert & Grietje Veldman, sister Bruina, Grietje (Fritz), brothers Hendrik (Wiek), Jan (Wimke), Bruin (Anne), Gerrit (Corrie), Dirk, Klaas and a brother in law Harry Slagter.
Jean was born in Drenthe, Holland on March 5, 1936 and came to Canada with her family at the age of 16. She married Ben Hendriks on April 4, 1957.
A Funeral Service will be held at TRINITY REFORMED CHURCH, 1100-40 Avenue North, Lethbridge on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Wybren Oord officiating.
A Private Family Interment service was held prior to the funeral at Mountain View Cemetery with Reverend Hank Van der Woerd, officiating.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 317-10th Street South, Lethbridge AB T1J 2M6
