November 1910 – March 2013
MRS. HELENA PAULS, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday March 28, 2013 at the Coaldale Health Centre at the age of 102 years. She was born in Kronsthal, Russia. At the age of 13 she received the Lord as her Savior and was baptized at the age of 19.
She Immigrated to Canada with her family in 1926. In 1942 she married Abram Pauls, a widower with 10 children. One more daughter was born the following year.
She leaves to mourn; Tina Regehr, Marge (Stanley) Burwash, Cornie (Anne) Pauls, David (Iris) Pauls, Lena (David) Boschman, Ann Traber, Peter (Eva) Pauls, Lydia (Alvin) Sawatsky, Janet Braun, daughter in law Anne Pauls as well as many grandchildren, also two siblings John (Sue) Dyck, and Kay Heppner.
Predeceased by her husband Abram Pauls and sons Abe and John Pauls, 3 daughters in law, 2 sons in law, and 1 grandson.
She will be missed by many more relatives and friends. She was a willing volunteer in many areas such as singing groups, leading Bible studies, Ladies Mission Groups Etc. She loved gardening especially her rose garden.
In her later years she appreciated greatly, the care by the staff at S.S Lodge and Health Care Center in Coaldale. She will be greatly missed by many.
A Funeral Service will be held at the COALDALE MENNONITE BRETHREN – 2114 18th Street, Coaldale, AB on Wednesday, March 3, 2013 at 2:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers she requests donations be made to Mennonite Central Committee – 210, 2946 32 Street N.E., Calgary, Alberta, T1Y 6J7 or a charity of your choice.
