CHIEF PETER YELLOW HORN – (Otahkoiikakato’sii – Yellow Star)
Passed away peacefully April 6, 2013 at the age of 71 years.
Returning to his home on Piikani Nation at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, April 8th. A memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Wednesday, April 10th, 2013 at ST. CYPRIAN’S ANGLICAN CHURCH, Brocket, AB, with Sidney Black Officiating, then a traditional blessing and placement at his home to follow at 12:30 P.M. with feast to follow at the Brocket Community Hall. Everyone Welcome.

My condolences are somewhat late in coming from me, due to my own personal circumstances; but necessary none the less.
I was very sadden by the news of Peter’s passing. Our friendship began in the mid-1960’s when our conversations regarding many similar interests; gave me a better understanding and respect for his indigenous culture and the integrity of the man.
He had experienced some highs and lows in his life, but ultimitly optimistic and forward thinking.
He called to invite me to a pow-wow, which I had to decline beause of illness; but looked forward to future opportunities. He will be missed in body but, lives in spirit!
