MRS. VERDA JEAN HAMILTON, beloved wife of the late Bill Hamilton, passed away at the Black Rock Terrace Care Centre on Monday, April 15, 2013 at the age of 73 years.
Verda is survived by her son Tim Hamilton, and daughter Malinda (Arnie) and their children AJ, Todd and Carlee Bergen-Henengouwen.
She is also survived by her brothers Lamont (Lise) Harker, Jerry (Anne) Harker, six brother-in-laws; Bob (Deanna), Don (Faye),Pat (Carol),Greg, Brent, Jerry(Liz); two Sister-in-laws; Nan(Dave) Iwaskiw, and Lori (Kelly)Kaminski.
She was predeceased by her parents Thora & Theron Harker, in-laws Eveline and Gordon Hamilton and sister in law Shirley Hamilton.
Verda was born and raised in Cardston. She attended SAIT where she graduated as a nursing aide in 1958. She worked in St. Michael’s Hospital Maternity Ward until retiring in 1991.
Verda spent her life caring for those around her, from caring for the newborns on the maternity ward, to her role as the main caregiver for Tim, and her unconditional support in caring for her grandchildren in their many endeavours.
During her retirement she loved do crafts, play cards with family, eat at the Casino, golf with Bill and their friends, and attend her grandkids sporting events.
She was a member of the Picture Butte Golf Club, Nord-Bridge Senior Center, 20 dollar club, and the Dining Divas.
She will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME – 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, A.B., on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 11:00 A.M.
