BERG Nettie

Miss Nettie Berg passed away peacefully, into the presence of her Lord and Savior, at the Coaldale Health Center on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the age of 90 years.
Nettie is survived by her niece Judy (Bruce) Wright and nephews Ray Schapansky (Josephine Baxter) and Larry (Sandra) Schapansky, as well as many great grand nephews and nieces.
Nettie led a full life which was dedicated to the service of her Lord. She was born in Russia and immigrated to Canada at an early age with her family. Following high school she graduated from the Galt School of Nursing and Winnipeg Bible College. She then served in the Congo, Africa as a missionary nurse for eighteen years. Upon her return from Africa, Nettie managed the Bible Mailbox Club for the Coaldale Mennonite Brethren Church for eighteen years until her retirement.
Nettie ministered to many during her life with her caring compassionate gifts and touched everyone she met with her gentle spirit.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 10:00 am and 10:45 am followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at COALDALE MENNONITE BRETHREN CHURCH, 2114 – 18 Street. Interment to take place at Coaldale Cemetery following the reception.
