ELIZABETH (BETH) FLAK passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Wednesday, May 8th, 2013.
Beth was predeceased by her husband Edwin and her daughter-in-law Kate Flak.
She is survived by her two sons, David (Denise) Flak of Lethbridge and Darrell Flak of Lethbridge; four grandchildren, Vanessa (John) Diaz, Jennifer Flak, Laura Flak and Trista Flak, and their mom, Sandy Flak; two brothers, John (Ericka) Suetta and Steve (Dot) Suetta; two sisters, Barb Erickson and Isabel Duell.
One of Beth’s favorite things was spending time with her family. She loved her four granddaughters and was happiest when she was spending time with them and her family. She was a great friend and still kept in touch with friends that she’d had since her school days. Her love of live and people touched the lives of all those who knew her. She was a compassionate, thoughtful and honorable woman who loved her family. Her quiet courage, strength of spirit and sense of humor will be carried forward by those who knew and loved her.
In memory of Beth, contributions may be made to the St. Michael’s Foundation, Palliative Care Unit, 1400 – 9th Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta T1J 4V5.
A private graveside service will be held.

To my dearest darling Nanny
Up in heaven, high above,
I know today you’re with us all
And sending all your love.
Today we all remember you,
And bid you one last goodbye.
Celebrate the life you lived
And maybe have a cry.
You’ll never be forgotten Nan,
I’ll just close my eyes and see
You’re smiling face and feel your love
And you’ll be close to me.
You had such a long life
so many have so less
It was your time, the Angels came,
And placed you with the best.
So dear Nanny, up above
Although you’re no longer here,
In my heart is where I’ll keep you,
Forever, you’ll be near.
Honoured to Serve

Please accept our most heartfelt condolences for your loss. In the book of Job 33:25, God promises to do away with the painful effects of old age, He says the flesh will become fresher than in youth, that older ones will return to the days of youthful vigor.
our thoughts and prayers are with you.
