MORGAN Deloris

DELORIS MORGAN, of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the age of 79 years.
She is the loving mother of Alan Wade Williams, Cheryl Laureen Williams, and Jonn Cameron Machan, as well as 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brother Kenneth Machan.
Lori was a SDA pastor’s wife for ten years living in many parts of Canada. She was an avid reader and thinker. She “tested out” for her Bachelor’s degree from Wright State University in the States. She then received her Master’s in Psychology from Kent State University and was a “thesis short” from receiving her PhD. From 1978 – 1993, Lori founded 5 homes for handicapped adults who had no place to go after they turned 18 years of age. In the 80’s, Lori was a leader in the field of autism and worked with colleagues in many countries. Lori’s passion was for creating safe, accepting, caring work environments to give clients the chance to become all they could be. May Lori’s works be long lasting and may the world be a better place for having known her.
A Memorial service will be held at MOUNTAIN VIEW CEMETERY, on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Nathan Williams officiating.
A reception will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge.
