Henry met Louise at a basket social not realizing she would become his wife later in life. Friends brought them together a courtship began and a life together confirmed by marriage in July, 1977. Endeavoring to succeed as a welder Henry received his Journeyman Red Seal Welder Certification from Lethbridge College in 1982. Henry worked hard all his life and did not tolerate any show of weakness from those around him. He did not hesitate to share his opinion which sometimes was harsh. Those who knew him well also saw a softer side of him and established a strong bond pure and sincere. People often asked for his assistance secure in the fact that he was ‘expert’ with mechanical advice.
