1926 ~ 2013
We wish to announce the passing of an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and person. Miki Bryant of Coaldale, beloved wife of the late Charlie Bryant, passed away on June 27th, 2013 at the age of 86 years.
Miki was born September 9, 1926 in Knowlton, PQ. She attended Bishop’s University, the U of A, and the U of L, receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree. Miki spent 17 years teaching at Kate Andrews High School in Coaldale. She was a wonderful French teacher. Miki loved cooking, sewing, knitting, reading, playing bridge, and tending the garden. Her family was always front and center in her life. Her love, guidance, and beautiful smile will always be treasured. While she was small in stature, she was a strong and resilient person. She was an exemplary role model to those around her. Miki’s favourite places included ‘the farm’ in Coaldale, the cabin at Rosen Lake, and Lake Massawippi in North Hatley, Quebec. Miki is survived by her children, Steve (Erin), Dawn (Wally), Jeff, Michael (Laverne), and Paul (Debbie); grandchildren Rena, Jolene, Jeff, Janelle, Jayce, Kevan, Candace, Joel; and 7 great-grandchildren. A special thank you to all of the incredible, caring staff at the Sunny South Lodge in Coaldale. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30am on Friday, July 5th, at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 Street S., Lethbridge with Canon Erin Phillips officiating.
