It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Kenneth Robert Erlandson on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2013. He was the loving husband and best friend of Millie Erlandson for 64 years. Born on July 25th, 1919 in Cadillac, Saskatchewan, Ken was raised on the farm. He joined the army in 1941 and served overseas. Ken and Millie were married on May 23rd, 1949. He owned and operated a service station in Regina, sold it, and then worked for Saskatchewan Air Ambulance as an aircraft mechanic. In 1960, the family moved to Pincher Creek where Ken and Millie owned and operated the Foothills Motel until 1969. He had the local dry cleaners for a short period of time and then went on to work for the MD of Pincher Creek until his retirement at age 67. Ken and Millie enjoyed many years since then golfing and camping. We will miss his sense of humour. Ken is survived by his wife, Millie; his sons Gordon (Marlyn) and Bob (Virginia), and his daughter Eileen (Joe); his grandchildren: Kelcey and Glenna, Jill (Wilson) and Dave, Adam and Karli. He will be missed by his brother Don (Maxine), and his sisters Verona, Shirley, and Jean (Bud) as well as his many nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Tacla, his brothers, Harold and Howard, brothers-in-law Bob and Elmer. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Vista Village, Box 1510, Pincher Creek, AB T0K 1W0. Special thanks to the wonderful and caring staff of Vista Village.
