(1930-2013)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rosemarie Erdos, beloved wife of Vincent Erdos of Hillcrest Mines, Alberta. Rosemarie was called to be with the Lord on September 3, 2013 while receiving care and kindness at the Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge. She was 83 years of age. Rosemarie was born on May 10, 1930 in New Dayton, Alberta to Clarence & Clara Kaupp. One of eleven children, Rosemarie was raised with a great appreciation for her family, friends, faith and to cherish what she had rather than want for what she had not. She was a kind and gentle young lady who was meticulous and caring; she captured the heart of a dashing young gentleman, Vincent Erdos, and they pledged their love in holy matrimony on April 2, 1959. They were further blessed with four children and eight grandchildren. Rosemarie had many talents including sewing, creating stained glass art pieces and providing a wonderful home for her family. She enjoyed her time at the family’s campgrounds and fishing in the pond. She was a proud member of the Catholic Women’s League and Quad Squad and volunteered countless hours to community events. Rosemarie was devoted to her husband, adored her children, cherished her grandchildren, and was a loyal friend to so many. May she find salvation in the peace of Christ and may her memory continue to bless us with friendship and love. Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life include her loving husband, Vincent Erdos; her children, Brian (Debbie) Erdos of Coaldale, Wayne Erdos of Lethbridge, Donald Erdos of Fort Saskatchewan and Patricia Livingstone of Kelowna; her grandchildren, Brandon, Tara, Christina, Corey, Bradley, Brittany, Scott and Matthew; her brothers, August (Ann) Kaupp of Raymond, Victor (Lavern) Kaupp of Lethbridge, Lawrence (Dian) Kaupp of Lethbridge; her sisters, Mary Biggers of Lethbridge, Mildred Shutty of Vernon and Imma Fowler of Vernon; and her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Clarence Kaupp; her mother, Clara Kaupp (nee: Thielen); her siblings, Clemence (Francis) Kaupp, Edmund (Cam) Kaupp, Anna (Louis) Pittman and Ruth Shaw; and her brothers-in-law, Boyd Biggers and Joe Shutty. The Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 7:00 pm at the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Blairmore, AB with Rev. Renso Castellarin officiating. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 11:00 am with Fr. Ben Marino as Celebrant. Interment will occur in the Archmount Cemetery in Lethbridge on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 11:00 am.
