OIKAWA Kazumi

It is with great sadness that the family share the loss of Kazumi (Tricky) Oikawa on July 22, 2013 at the age of 82 years. Tricky leaves behind two children, Dean (Carole Anne), and Scott. He was predeceased by his wife Mary, father Masami, mother Kanako, and brother Kim. He is survived by one sister, 8 brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tricky was born on March 28, 1931, on Lion’s Island in New Westminster BC., the second child and oldest son of what was to be eventually 11 children. The family was relocated to Southern Alberta during World War II and eventually ended up in the Picture Butte area where he lived until his passing. Tricky was an avid sportsman. He spent much of his life at the ball diamond, curling rink, golf course, and favorite fishing hole
Please join us in celebrating Tricky’s life at 10:30 am, Friday, July 22, 2013 at the BUDDHIST TEMPLE OF SOUTHERN ALBERTA, 470 — 40th Street South, Lethbridge, with Rev. Yasuo Izumi officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish can make a donation to the charity of their choice. Koden is gratefully declined.
