EMMA ANGELINA (ANGIE) BOHNER loving wife of the late Wilfred Bohner, of Coaldale, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, October 18, 2013.

Angie was born in Raymond in 1928 to Henry and Emma Burr. She was the 4th of 10 children. When she was 10 years old the family moved from Raymond to a farm in the McNally district. When Angie was 27 she met a dashing young man at a community dance. In June 1955 she married her handsome beau Wilfred Bohner. They settled on a farm, just north of Coaldale, where she continued to live until recently. Angie and Wilf were blessed with 4 children, Lolette, Sandra, George, and Cliff. Angie loved motherhood and found great joy raising her family. She became a true farmers’ wife, and enjoyed spending time outside. She was as comfortable driving a tractor as she was baking a fresh rhubarb pie. She was a very strong and independent woman. Angie loved life and enjoyed many interests. She loved gardening, singing, cooking, baking desserts, doing crafts, and helping her family. Angie also loved to travel. She took holidays to Disneyland with her grandkids, Hawaii with her sisters and especially enjoyed a trip to Holland, to see the tulips. Fun times were spent in Waterton having family picnics, and appreciating nature. She stayed very close with all of her family and it was a highlight to get together with them on July 1st and Boxing Day each year. Angie was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many different callings while in the Coaldale ward for 50+ years. She showed great faith and was an example to all who knew her. Angie found great joy in being around the children in her life. She relished her role as grandmother and great grandmother. She will be missed by all and adored forever. She was predeceased by her husband Wilfred, and their infant daughter Lolette. She is survived by her daughter Sandra (Leroy) Pavan, her sons George (Kim) Bohner, and Cliff (Katy) Bohner. Her 11 grandchildren: Alix (Tyler) Hirsche; Arin (Brian) Lathen; Aric (Micah) Pavan; Alison (Allan) Schneider; Alan (Britnee) Pavan; Andin (Kenzie) Pavan; Ariel (Rob) Olsen; Daine Bohner, (Mary); Brock Bohner,; Greg Bohner, (Amanda); Corey Bohner, (Alison). Grandchildren were the light of her life, they made her day, and all were touched by her songs, stories, and hugs. Her great grandchildren were: Parks, Crew, Sloane, Nev, Jameson, Clara, Penelope, Annabelle, Jack, Ben, Anderson, Brixton, and Banks. She spent the last years of her life at Legacy Lodge being cared for by a wonderful staff.
