MCCLUNG Monte

It is with great sadness that the family of MONTE LOU McCLUNG announce her passing on Sunday, October 6, 2013.

Monte was born on December 28, 1934 in Cardston, Alberta. She enjoyed fishing, reading, puzzles, crafts and gardening. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren – especially at their summer place in Montana. Monte married her sweetheart, James Dale McClung and together they settled in Cardston to raise six children with love, understanding and a lot of family time. Monte was outgoing and friendly and always had a smile on her face and a laugh to share. She leaves behind a grieving family and many good friends. Monte was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Jim, her parents Albert and Lucile Cahoon, her brother Kent Cahoon, and her granddaughter Jennifer May. She leaves behind her children Deb, Dave (Michi) McClung, Laurel (Terry) Mrozowich, Jan Valin, Sandy (Kevin) Sanderson, Ted (Kim) McClung, eighteen grandchildren and one great-grandson. A Visitation and Reception will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon followed by a Graveside Service at MOUNTAIN VIEW CEMETERY in the Village of Mountain View, AB.
