CHARLESWORTH Stephanie

Stephanie Margaret Charlesworth, beloved wife of the late Arthur (Art) Charlesworth, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at the age of 91.

Stephanie was born on June 9th 1922 on a farm north of Foremost to Kenneth and Jean Dorren.  In the late 1920’s, Stephanie’s family moved to the farm just northwest of Picture Butte.  There she attended Twelve Mile School and Picture Butte High School. Stephanie lived on the family farm then lived with her brother George in Picture Butte until marrying Art on February 14, 1947. Together they farmed in the Barhill area for 45 years.  In 2002, Art and Stephanie left the farm and moved into Lethbridge. Stephanie is survived by her 8 children – Ken (Eleanor), Duane (Val), Marilyn (Sam) Perverseff, Lorne, Ross (Wendy), Allan, Eleanor Robertson, Sherri (Tim) Hall; 13 grandchildren – Darren (Deanna), Jason (Michelle), Joel (Amanda), Carrie (Trevor), Scott, Jamie (Derek), Brian, Alex (Mike), Sara , Coleby, Brad, Stephanie Ryan;  8 great-grandchildren – Jasmine, Cailey,  Eddie, Haylie, Ben, Hayden, Robbie, Owen. She is also survived by her 3 brothers in-law: Ron (Carol) Charlesworth, Ron Keith and George Meuller,  sister in-law Val Charlesworth and numerous nephews, nieces and their families.  She is predeceased by sisters Pearl, Blanche and Doris and brothers, George and Raymond. A Memorial Service will be held at the McKILLOP UNITED CHURCH, 2329-15 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB, on Thursday, November 7, 2013, at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Trevor Potter officiating. In memory of Stephanie, those who wish may donate to a charity of their choice.
