WELBOURN, Donald

March 25, 1931- Edmonton, AB – November 15, 2013 – Calgary, ABDon Welbourn, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 15, 2013 at the age of 82 years.

Don was born on March 25, 1931 in Edmonton and grew up on the family farm in the Winterburn area. He went on to graduate from law school at the University of Saskatchewan. Don met his future wife, Vera May, in Regina and they married in 1955. Don started his law career in Calgary and in 1965 the family moved to Claresholm, AB where they lived for many years. During his time in Claresholm, Don’s civic-minded attitude resulted in numerous significant contributions to the community. Don is survived by Vera May and their four sons, Cullen (Hilary), Evan (Jilanne (Gigi)), Graham (Suzanne) and Justin (Elizabeth); ten grandchildren; brother William (Judith); and sister Marion.
