MAZEREEUW Helmut

HELMUT ALFRED MAZEREEUW of Lethbridge, our beloved husband, father and grandfather went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Sunday, January 19th, 2014 at the age of 79 years. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Marguerite and their children: son’s John Mazereeuw of Medicine Hat and his children Jeremy & Lindsay, Charles (Shelia) Mazereeuw of Withrow, Alberta and their children Janis & David, Frederick Mazereeuw of Osoyoos, B.C. and his children Cynthia & Frederick, Roger (Rose) Mazereeuw of Calgary and their children Rachel and Raeann, David (Brenda) Mazereeuw of Lethbridge and their children Madyson, Dalyce, Isaac and Faith, Richard (Melanie) Mazereeuw of Drumheller and their children Jordan and Braden. Helmut is also survived by his brother Rients (Margaret) Mazereeuw of Lethbridge, sisters, Aavina (Hank) Rodermond of Medicine Hat, Martha (Sid) Nieuwenhuis of Lethbridge, Jenny (John) Vankeulen of Lethbridge, brother-in-law George Opdendries of Rocky Mountain House, Sisters-in-law Jenny Mazereeuw of Taber and Jenny Mazereeuw of Drayton, Ont., as well as many nieces and nephews. Helmut was predeceased by his parents Jan and Margareta Mazereeuw of Taber, two brothers Piet Mazereeuw of Taber and Alfred Mazereeuw of Drayton, Ont., and one sister Emmy Opdendries of Rocky Mountain House. A Service of Remembrance will be held at the TRINITY REFORMED CHURCH, 1100 – 40 Aveune North, Lethbridge on Friday, January 24, 2014 at 1:00 P.M., with Rev. Wybren Oord officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 317-10th Street South, Lethbridge, AB, T1J 2M7.
