1935-2014
Clifford Archer passed away at the Lacombe Nursing Home on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at the age of 78 years. Born in Taber, AB on December 1, 1935, our beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Uncle is survived by his son James Archer(Melody) and Carolyn Strand of Calgary, AB, daughter Debbie Salmon(Brent) and being most proud of his grandchildren Tyler and Jenna Salmon all from Lacombe, AB. He will be lovingly remembered by brothers, Phil Archer(Karen) of Red Deer, AB; Don Archer(Louanne) of Killam, AB; Rob Archer(Chris) of Taber, AB; sister-in-law Myrna Archer of Innisfail, AB, in-laws Douglas and Leslie Brown, and Bunty and Peter Clark all of Glasgow, Scotland as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Cliff was predeceased by his wife Betsy Archer in 2011, parents Esther and James Archer, brothers Ray and Grant Archer, and nephews Kevin and Dan Archer. Cliff was a genuine man who had dedicated himself to his work and family. He enjoyed life, fishing, golfing, softball, hockey and camping, and a highlight was attending a family reunion. He had a big heart, was selfless and could strike up a conversation with anyone, and would meet a new friend everywhere he went. He was most rewarded with time spent with family and friends. He will forever be remembered as an honest, fun-loving man. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 5226-51 Avenue, Lacombe, AB, on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. A private family interment service will follow at the Lacombe Fairview Cemetery.
