YELLOW HORN Joyce

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, Joyce Jacqueline Yellow Horn of Fort Macleod, AB. Joyce passed away suddenly on January 26, 2014 at the age of 68. Joyce was born in Brocket, AB on May 4, 1945 to Alfred and Cecile Crow Shoe. She spent the majority of her life in Fort Macleod where she raised her family. Joyce was known to be a very compassionate, caring, generous and kind person. Although, Joyce endured many struggles in her life she always seemed to have a positive outlook and touched the hearts of many people. Left to mourn her passing are her children: Roland Yellow Horn, Stanley Yellow Horn, Roberta (Mark) Smallbones, Julien (Deidrie) Yellow Horn, Sandra (Dale) Johnson, 20 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three siblings, Regina (Lyle) Brazeau, Alvina Crow Shoe and Alan Simone. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. on Thursday January 30, 2014 at EDEN’S FUNERAL HOME, 2424 5th Ave, Fort Macleod, AB. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 P.M., on Friday January 31, 2014 at THE BROCKET COMMUNITY HALL, Brocket AB, with Father Freddy Valdivia Officiating. Interment to follow at Brocket Cemetery.
