JOSEPH (JOE) BELCOURT passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the age of 73 years, after a short battle with cancer. Joe is lovingly remembered by his wife Mabel, his children Jason (Michelle) Belcourt and Michelle (Lyle) Fedorowich, his grandchildren Austin and Zach Belcourt and McKenzie and Brayden Fedorowich, his special mom Joyce Burr, siblings Cathy (Leonard) Ruetz, Sharon (Don) Ironside, Dan (Dana) Burr, Leo (Sharon), Adolph and Roland Belcourt, Dorothy Bell, Edna Belcourt, brother-in-law Ron Jaremko and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his special dad Jack Burr, sisters Elinor Baird and Leona Herr, grandparents Adolph and Rodelphine Belcourt, aunts Vi and Dolly Belcourt, aunt Vera Dion, parents-in law John and Tina Jaremko, and brother-in-law Dean Miller. Joe was born on March 20, 1941 in Regina, Saskatchewan. He married Mabel on August 29, 1964 in Saskatoon and this year, they would have celebrated 50 years together. In 1970, they moved to Lethbridge where he made his living as an electrician. He worked at Parson’s Electric, Dorren Electric, and the University of Lethbridge for 30 years, prior to retiring. Joe was a “Jack of all Trades” and could fix anything he put his mind to. He loved tinkering with old cars, especially Studebakers. Joe was a devoted family man and was very involved with his children in their various activities as they were growing up. Joe also enjoyed going for breakfasts, lunches and having coffee with his good friends. He will be dearly missed by all those that knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation is entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home Ltd.
