Maxine Ethel Wheeler, our beautiful Mum, slipped away from this life with her family by her bedside on April 7th 2014 at the age of 88 years. She was the life partner of the late George Edward Wheeler. Maxine , the youngest child of Daniel and Helena McKeeman spent her childhood in the Lunnford, Alberta area, then as a young woman came to Lethbridge for nurse’s aide training at St. Michael’s Hospital. They raised their family and farmed for years until returning to Lethbridge in 1968. Maxine had a love for all animals and also enjoyed knitting, and crocheting. She grew a very fine garden and was generous with her crops of onions, carrots, tomatoes and squashes. Her favorite color was pink and she liked to dance.
