October 12, 1932 – May 6, 2014
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear Mom, Elsie Milne. Mom died peacefully at the age of 81. She died as she lived, with integrity, honesty, compassion for others and so very proud of her family and community. While we mourn our great loss, we take comfort in knowing that Mom is at peace with God and is with other family members that have gone before her. Mom was born on October 12, 1932 in Fort Macleod to Eugenio and Mary Annie Chivilo. She was the second of four children. Mom is survived by her sisters, Florence and Edith and was predeceased by her beloved brother, Peter. Mom married our dad, John Milne, on May 30, 1953. Together they raised four girls, Brenda (Brian) Mcleod, Barbara (Grant) Perepeluk, Leta (John) McRobert and Georgina (Kevin) Yellowaga. Their son, John Lindsay Milne II, died in infancy. Mom will be sadly missed by her eight grandchildren, Natalie (Jesse), Landon, Courtney, Hilary (Josh), Taylor, Braedon, Maddison and Nate and also by two great grandchildren, Walker and Monroe. Mom’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Saturday May 10, 2014 at the TRINITY UNITED CHURCH, 220-20th St., Fort Macleod, AB, with Reverend Eras Van Zyl, Officiating. Inurnment to follow at Union Cemetery. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the Fort Macleod Handi-bus Society, c/o P.O. Box 881, Fort Macleod, AB, T0L0Z0.
