Mrs. Irene Fazio of Lethbridge, wife of the late Mr. Alfred Fazio, passed away on August 9, 2014 at the age of 92 years. Irene was born on July 11, 1922 to John and Gertrude Chenery, in Lethbridge. She attended Fleetwood Bawden Elementary and LCI completing her schooling in 1939. She worked early years on the farm helping her dad. She met her lifelong partner Alfred in 1940 and they were married in 1944. They raised four children in Lethbridge, loved to walk, garden and traveling to Nevada. Irene is survived by her two daughters Trudy (Mike) Bruchet, and Judy (Trevor) Williams; son Ron (Ira) Fazio; grandchildren Robert (Katie), Lori (Scott), Brad (Michelle), Trish (Aubrey), Stephen and Tara; great-grandchildren McKinley, Decklan, Liam, Finn, Aidan, Maya, Owen. She was predeceased by her son Donald; Sister Phyllis Thompson; and Brothers Russell and Clarence Chenery. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Chinook Regional Hospital for the care and compassion they provided Irene and the family. As per Irene’s request, a private family service will take place.
