Mr. Clare St. Clair Malmberg of Lethbridge, passed away at Fairmont Extendicare on August 22, 2014 at the age of 89 years. Beloved husband of Mrs. Margaret Malmberg; loving father of Brynn (Patrick) and Kevin (Liz); grandfather of Dara (Chris) and Tarryn (Dave); and great- grandfather of Christina, Wyatt, Jace, Lucas and Ethan. Clare is also survived by his sister Laura Harrison of Sherwood Park and special nieces and nephews. His family was special to him and he cherished them all. Clare was born in Calgary on September 10, 1924 and was raised on the family farm near Mossleigh, AB. He attended Mt. Royal College and began his construction career with Mannix Ltd. and Poole Construction then moved to Lethbridge with his family in 1958 to continue his career with Kenwood Engineering whom he stayed with until his retirement in 1989. Clare loved the construction industry and was a member of the Canadian Institute of Quality Surveyors. Community Service was of the utmost importance to him. He actively served on many Boards including Southminster United Church, Allied Arts Council, Chamber of Commerce, and Lethbridge Housing Authority. He loved art, good architecture, the farm in Autumn and golf days at the Country Club. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 pm, on Friday, August 29, 2014 at SOUTHMINSTER UNITED CHURCH, 1011 4 Ave S, Lethbridge AB, with Reverend Ruth Preston Schilk officiating.
