POCH TheresaPosted: August 29th, 2014
The gates of Heaven have opened for THERESA ANN POCH, beloved wife of Vince Poch, who passed on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at the age of 78 years. Theresa is survived by her husband of 55 years, Vince Poch and she leaves to mourn her passing, 3 children; March (Brenda) Poch of Calgary, Dave Poch of Lethbridge and Keith (Dawn) Poch of Lethbridge. A loving grandmother, Theresa leaves behind; Chelsea, Cassandra, Samantha, Kayla, Ryan, Kennedy and Kalli-Anne. Theresa is also survived by her brother Don (Marguerite) of Edmonton and her sister Bernadine of Regina as well as many other relatives that she cared about so deeply. Theresa was born in Rockglen, Saskatchewan on October 23, 1935 to William and Eugenie Ebbinghoff. Theresa had a happy childhood and often shared these fond memories with friends and family. After graduating high school, she continued her education at the Grey Nuns Hospital in Regina and earned her nursing degree. Her caring ways and kind heart made her a very special RN. Theresa met and married her best friend, Vince Poch, on June 27th, 1959. Together they raised their 3 boys and doted on their grandchildren whenever possible. Nothing made Theresa happier than having her whole family around a dinner table. Playing cards, watching grandchildren color or putting together a puzzle gave Theresa the greatest joy. She knew what was important in life family. Theresa was always active and on the move. She enjoyed golfing, gardening, camping and playing cards. Her retirement years with Vince brought trips down south to escape the cold and she enjoyed this time away with her best friend. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents William and Eugenie Ebbinghoff and her brother Albin Ebbinghoff. Mom will live on in our hearts and memories forever and we will always be extremely proud to have had her as our wife, mother and grandmother. The family would like to thank Dr. Strank and the St. Michael\’s Palliative physicians and nurses for their excellent care. The family will hold a private ceremony at Cornerstone Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Theresa please consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society – 200, 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, Alberta, T2E 2P5.
