BIANCHINI Aldo

Mr. Aldo Bianchini, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Irene Bianchini, passed away following a brief illness on October 10, 2014 at the age of 80 years. Aldo was born on March 12, 1934 at St. Michael’s Hospital in Lethbridge to Valentino and Elvira Bianchini. He attended school at St. Aloysius and McNally School. He spent most of his teaching career as principal of Dorothy Dalgiesh School. In his spare time, you could find him cooking, gardening, bird watching, and watching sports; especially basketball. He received a Distinguished Lion Award for long time service. He spent time on several executive boards, including The Chinook Regional Health Board. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his three daughters: Lynn (Allen) Wocknitz, Lori (Adrian) Van Os, Jeanne Bianchini; his son John (Heather) Bianchini; grandchildren: Jesse Wocknitz, Elise Wocknitz, Tyler Van Os, Brett Van Os, Jason Bianchini, Ryan Bianchini and Amy Bianchini; sisters-in-law: Claire Lafontaine, Linda Bianchini, Jeanne Briere, Helene Briere; brother-in-law Maurice Briere, and other dear relatives. Aldo was predeceased by his wife Irene Bianchini, his parents Valentino and Elvira, brothers Armido Bianchini and Gino Bianchini, and infant sister Ida Bianchini. A Prayer Vigil will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 410-6 St. S., Lethbridge, AB. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 17, 2014 at ST. BASIL’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 604-13 St. N., Lethbridge, AB.
