WATSON ReginaldPosted: October 21st, 2014
It is with sadness we announce that Reg passed away peacefully in Sundre on October 16 at the age of 81, having suffered a massive stroke. He is survived by his best friend and partner Esther Johnston; his two daughters Leslie (Sandy) and Megan (Wayne) and their mother, Donna. Born in Pincher Creek, Reg worked as a civil engineer in Edmonton and then in Sundre until he retired. Reg was very involved in the Sundre community, an active Olds Grizzly hockey fan and a regular attendee at University of Alberta Alumni events. He enjoyed long walks with his dog Bogie at his farm. The family extends sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff at the Calgary Foothills Hospital and Sundre Hospital. At Regs request there will not be a funeral or memorial service. However an informal gathering will take place on Friday October 24 at Heritage Acres from 2-4pm to remember Reg. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in Regs name.
