Averil Catherine Geiger passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at St. Theresa Villa at the age of 99 years. Averil was born on May 27, 1915 and was predeceased by her husband Nicodemus Geiger, her son Stanton Geiger and her son-in-law Gerald Gorrill. She is survived by her daughters: Katherine Gorrill, Gale (Stan) Woods, and Beth (Ben) VanderHeide, son Klair (Maureen) Geiger, 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Averil was a certified jeweler and Post Master. She took a keen interest in gardening, paper tole, crocheting and anything to do with outdoors. Averil was the most amazing woman to family, grandchildren, and anyone who knew her will all miss her immensely. At Averil’s request, a private family service will be held at a later date.
