Bob lived his life with strength of character coupled with rugged determination and a tenacious ability to focus on his passions. That determination helped him to excel in many endeavors throughout his life; from track and field as a youth to completing the Moonlight Run at age 84. He purchased his father’s farm and built it up over the years. He had an innate understanding of when and what to plant and he was very proud of his farming achievements…his 3 years as World Barley King…his 50 year contribution to the Canadian Seed Grower’s Association and driving his horse and buggies in many parades throughout Southern Alberta. He was especially proud in 1999 when chosen to lead the Calgary Stampede Parade, carrying the Honorary Parade Marshall in his horse and buggy. He treasured and respected family, friends and neighbors. He was a gentleman and a gentle man. The family is so grateful for the personal, loving care received from the doctors, nurses and staff in Milk River. Flowers are gratefully declined.
