WATTS Yvonne

YVONNE DOORAINE WATTS passed away in Cardston on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the age of 90 years, beloved wife of Ernie Watts. Yvonne was born in Queensland, Australia and emigrated to Canada in 1967 with her husband and youngest daughter after joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She remained a faithful member of the church all her life serving for many years in the Cardston Temple, a stake mission to the First Nation Reservation and a full time mission with her husband in the Chicago Temple. Yvonne was a sweet, quiet lady with a keen sense of humor. She is survived by her husband, Ernie Watts; daughters, Jan Hill of Sheffield, Tasmania, Australia and Lorraine (Kent) Christensen of St. George, Utah. Eleven grandchildren, 33 great- grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. The Funeral Service will be held at the Cardston Alberta Stake Center (East Hill) on Tuesday, February 24th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Gerry Selk officiating. Friends may meet the family at the Church from 9:45 to 10:45 am prior to the Service. Interment in the Cardston Cemetery. E-mail your condolences to: legacycardston@gmail.com

    We are saddened at the passing of Yvonne. We only found out today, and it was too late for us to attend the funeral. We remember with much fondness your love and kindness to my parents, Jim & Iris Martin so many years ago, and would like you to know that we pray for you, Ernie, that you will feel the peace and comfort from the Lord as you think about your sweetheart.
